Mirko Baricchi (1970) is an Italian painter who lives and works in Veneto in the Ligurian region of Italy. Upon graduating from the Palazzo Spinelli Art Institute in Florence, he worked as an illustrator in Mexico City. Baricchi returned to Italy at the end of the ‘90s intent on dedicating his life exclusively to painting. His most recent work is distinguished by an insistent series of procedures measured by the rapid actions of applying and removing pictorial material with the greatest liberty in composition and subject where only a minimal trace of figurative stylistic traits remains.
Baricchi has particpated in numerous solo and group shows and his works have been acquired by CAMeC collections, Modern and Contemporary Art Center, Battolini collection, La Spezia; Cassa di Risparmio della Spezia Foundation, La Spezia; BoCs Art Museum, Cosenza; Civic Collection of Drawing, MuSa, Museum of Salò (Bs).
He lives and works between Vicenza and La Spezia
